Description
Summary:碩士 === 元培科技大學 === 健康產業管理研究所 === 100 === It is to investigate the trend of the Osteoporosis of the hospitalized patients, and the effect of female patients suffering from the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus cured by Hydroxychloroquine drugs on the risk of the Osteoporosis. The secondary data provided by the healthcare database of the national health reasearch institute is analyzed by the case-cohort study. Cases that patients suffered from the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus without the Osteoporosis in 2000 to 2002 are selected, and the cases are grouped based on MPR of 2000 to 2007. The frequency matching at 1:1 is then conducted according to the MPR, age and CCI. The Kaplan-Meier and Cox Regression are used to carry out the survival analysis. Results:1) There were 60,720 hospitalized patients suffering from the Osteporosis in 2000 to 2007. The ratio of male to female is 1:4. Male and female patients are mostly at the age of 71 to 80, but female patients gradually increase from the age of 51 (menopausal women), which is different from male patients starting to increase after the age of 61. 2) After adjusting age and CCI, we find that female patients suffering from Systemic Lupus Erythematosus will develop the Osteoporosis earlier (74.866 months vs 94.710~96.237 months) if their Hydroxychloroquine medication possession ratio is higher (MPR≧80% vs MPR<80%), and the risk of developing the osteoporosis is higher (OR: 31.529 vs 2.87~1.000). When the female patients suffering from the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus are cured by quinine, the risk of developing the osteoporosis will increase, and we still shall consider the necessity of using Hydroxychloroquine and the interference of other factors which will cause the osteoporosis.
