With data collection and analysis, the aim is to understand the trend of technology innovation strategy the abrasives industry in Taiwan adopts as it grows and to analyze the influences of different technology innovation strategies on growth performance. The research results are concluded in the following:
1.The dynamics of industrial environment had significant influence on the technology innovation strategy of the abrasives industry in Taiwan.
2.Technology innovation strategy had positive relationship with enterprise growth. Major and disruptive innovation strategies in particular had significant positive influence on enterprise growth.
3.In terms of the influence of the use of external technology sources on growth performance, the research result shows the influence was positive. However, self-research and development strategy did not show signs of growth in the research.
4.Merger may not have significant influence on enterprise growth. It depends on the purpose of the merger and the effect of the integration activity after the merger.
