Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 化學暨生物化學研究所 === 101 === In this thesis, the reactions of (Re(CO)4)3(N3S3) with pyridyl-containing ligands (pyrazine (pz), bis(4-pyridyl)acetylene (bpa), 1,4-bis(pyridyl-4-ylethynyl)benzene (bpb) and 1,3,5-tris(4-pyridylethynyl)benzene (tpb)) afforded a series of caged compounds, [(Re(CO)3)6(pz)3(N3S3)2] (1), [(Re(CO)3)6(bpe)3(N3S3)2] (3), [(Re(CO)3)6(bpa)3(N3S3)2] (4), [(Re(CO)3)6(bpb)3(N3S3)2] (5) and [(Re(CO)3)9(tpb)3(N3S3)3] (6) by solvothermal methods, respectively. These cages have been characterized by elemental analyzer (EA), infrared spectrometer (IR) and powder X-ray diffractometer (PXRD), and their structures confirmed by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The cages 1, 3, 4 and 5 have hexanuclear rhenium centers, and the prismatic cage 6 has nonanuclear rhenium centers.
Moreover, these cages exhibit luminescence in the solid state. The emission spectra of cages 1, 4, and 6 can be attributed to metal-to-ligand charge-transfer transitions (MLCT), whereas the emission spectra of cage 5 are ascribed to an intraligand transition (IL) in origin.
