Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊管理學系暨研究所 === 101 === As information technology becomes more advanced, organizations highly rely on information technology to perform their daily work and information security has gradually become an important issue. Most previous researches focused on enhancing information system security and countermeasures and only a few studies examine employees’ intention to comply with information security standards of their organizations. Based on Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), we developed a research model to investigate factors affecting employees’ intention to comply with information security standards. A questionnaire survey was conducted on the internet and 337 valid responses were collected for further analyses. We then applied structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine the research hypotheses and the model fit. The results were as follows: 1. Attitude toward information security standards, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and, response efficacy were positively related to employees' behavioral intention to comply with information security standards. 2. Perceived severity and response efficacy were positively related to attitude toward information security standards.
