Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 通訊工程研究所 === 101 === Turbo encoding combined with bit-iterleaved coded modulation (BICM) with iterative detection and decoding (IDD) has drawn great research interests lately as it can achieve near-capacity performance of the multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channel. Under this transceiver framework, the MIMO detector has to provide soft information for the channel decoder, and hence is crucial to the system performance. Among the soft detectors proposed in the literature, list-sequential (LISS) algorithm gains its popularity as it can produce high quality soft information using the stack algorithm. A larger stack size provides better error rate performance, but also comes with significantly higher computational complexity. In this thesis, we proposed a new soft detector by combining the techniques of LISS and semidefinite relaxation (SDR). Simulation results show that the proposed detector provides significantly better error rate performance in a BICM-IDD system comparing to the conventional LISS algorithm.
