Four design methods by the direct lighting ,the symmetrical reflector ,the asymmetrical reflector, and the semi-reflector are adopted for the optical design. LED including various radiation patterns are, Nichia ( θ1/10 = 20∘ ), Snap LED(type HPSW-Fx & HPSW-Tx, θ1/10= 30∘ & 60∘ ), Batwing ( θ1/10 = 75∘ ), Lambertian ( θ1/10 = 90∘ ), Side Emitting ( θ1/10 = 120∘ ). The ASAP software is used for the light pattern simulation and analysis . The results show that the method is only suitable for small radiation pattern ( θ1/10 ≦ 30∘ ) LED by the direct lighting while it works for all kinds of LED by the other methods .
