There are 2 main goals of the research: 1. To analyze what cause a care giver to quit, what motivate the retention and the tug-of-war factors in between. 2. To use the analysis result to help on human resource planning and to indirectly resolve the long existing under-staff problem of care giver service to provide the long term stability and growth of the service. The research is conducted by qualitative interview method with care givers for data collection and conceptualize the interviewing result; after that, we interpret the information with dual track by analyzing the thematic and content. The result shows that: 1. Out of 29 factors, the number of retention factors are 2.23 times of that of attrition factors. 2. The supports from other co-workers and a good institution from the employer cancelled out the care giver's negative emotion from problems such as being boycotted by other co-worker and mis-communication. 3. The most effective retention factor is obtaining trust and appreciation from the service taker. 4. The service provider should listen to and support care givers to help retention of good worker. C. There are 2 main goals of the research:
