Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 電機工程學系碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study is using several different sensors to design and implement a reconfigurable sensing system for home safety. Our proposed system includes following parts: doors and windows sensing apparatuses, indoor personnel position sensing apparatuses, and indoor environment conditions with harmful gases sensing apparatuses. Doors and windows sensing apparatuses use magnetic reed switches and shock sensors. Indoor personnel position sensing apparatuses employ human infrared sensors, ultrasonic transceivers and capacitive proximity sensors. Indoor environment conditions with harmful gases sensing apparatuses utilize temperature sensors, humidity sensors, and gas sensors that can detect methane, ethanol, hydrogen, hydroxide, petroleum and other flammable gases, but also detect harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and sulfur compounds, and furthermore can detect smoke. In the host, we use the Microchip 16-bit microcontroller, PIC24FJ256GB106, as the main processor. In the remote slave, we use the Microchip 8-bit low pin count microcontroller, PIC18F14K50, as the controller. Besides, we apply an encoding device with a unique password in the remote slave to encode the transmission data. The receiver of the host get the transmission data and decode the message. By this way, we can avoid the data confuse when multiple access appear. Finally, a wireless telecommunication module is included to send the alarm message when abnormal event happen. In the future, we can exercise more sensors for further applications. Based on the request, users can select and settle the remote sensing slave, and complete a customized home safety system. The goal of this study is to build a home care model and achieve community health mutuality. By such technical applications, we can improve the quality of life for senior citizens.
