The evolution of aerodynamic characteristics in the motions of body pitching and flapping wings is predicted in our works. The NACA0012 wing similar to the three-dimensional gull’s wing is chosen as the simulated model. Here the flexibility of the flapping wing combined with a rigid body under different angles of attack and flapping and pitching on the formations of the aerodynamic force and vortex is studied. This study is divided into five parts. First, the numerical verification of the three-dimensional NACA 0012 with different frequencies is done. Secondly, the effect of the twisting angle of the wing on aerodynamic characteristics is predicted. The third part is to simulate the flow over the flexible wing coupling with different pitching frequencies. Next, the fourth part is to focus on aerodynamic analysis of the flexible wing coupling with a pitching motion under the different angles of attack. Finally, a case of non-uniform inlet flows prescribed by different sine functions over the above wing-body cases is studied.
