The amino-multiwalled carbon nanotube was functionalized with 4-aminobenzoic acid in mild polyphosphoric acid/Phosphorus pentoxide to obtain 4-aminobenzoyl-functionalized MWCNTs (AF-MWCNTs). The amino functional groups on AF-MWCNTs provided an opportunity to react with oligoaniline in oxidative coupling polymerization. Fourier transform infrared spectra and UV-visible spectra reveal that the quinoid rings on the EPI interact with MWCNTs. The results of the cyclic voltammetry studies indicate enhanced electrochemical properties for efficient electron/charge transfers behaviour of MWCNT/EPI composites. A linear relationship between the concentration of AA added and the change of peak current obtained, as shown by the linear calibration curve of the amperometric response of the CPE modified with MWCNT/EPI sensor to the concentration of AA (R2 = 0.998, n = 15). The limit of quantitation was 13.7 μM and the limit of detection for the MWCNT/EPI-CPE was estimated 4.1 μM at signal/noise (S/N) of 3. Jui-Ming Yeh 葉瑞銘 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 71 zh-TW
