Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 101 === Due to altering purchasing habits of consumers, freight industries have extensively contained branches of courier services, logistics services and home delivery services, in addition to original truckload trucking, fixed-route trucking and container trucking. This research aims to redefine what the so-called traditional freight industry is by probing into its branches. The traditional freight industry has developed more than forty years in Taiwan but it still plays the role of lifeline in agricultural, fishing and industrial transportation. However, in modern age with the growth of information, science and technology, Excel or basic database storage systems some ten years ago are still broadly used rather than cloud computing. With case studies and questionnaires, this thesis intends to catch on the factor dependence of how traditional freight industries exercise their systems. In the light of the factor dependence, traditional trucking transport companies that use basic database storage system will be investigated in the light of technology acceptance model, success model of information system, innovation diffusion theory and expert-designed questionnaires. Two purposes of this research are as follows: First, through case-study interviews, it explores the factor dependence of the system used by traditional freight industries, and makes it open for reference resources of the information industry. Second, with questionnaires, it catches on how traditional freight industries regard newly-designed systems, containing system stability, system function, working efficiency, construction costs and so on. On the basis of the research result, design elements of traditional freight industries’ vehicle management system will be supplied suggestions, and such research result is open to software engineers for reference.
