Because of non-toxic, specificity, biological activity, persistence, easy to manufacture, highly compatibility, no drug resistance and low cost, pheromones have obvious advantages compared to traditional pesticides. Because of abusing of pesticides may cause resistance and environmental pollutions, more and more alternative methods have been studied, pheromones are the one of important alternative. To synthesis sex pheromones, we use diol compound as the starting reactant to synthesis different types of pheromones by Wittig Reaction. We have successfully synthesized the Asian corn borers, Tobacco cutworm and Orange spotted shoot moth. This method can be used to produce commercial production easily. The structure of sex pheromones of Asia corn borers have cis-trans isomers, with different ratio, we can figure the best attractants effect out. The first step of this researching use Wittig Reaction to synthesis 93% Z-form product, and then use isomerization to raise the ratio of E-form product to 70% to get the most effective attractant, where is Z-form:E-form = 3:1. PART II : In recent years, photochromic dyes are mainly used in optical memory. We can use it to combine with a variety of substrates and applications to be widely used in various fields, such as photochromic sunglasses, color filter, photochromic fiber, ultraviolet indicator and other technology industries. Among many applications in biological detection needs highly precision, researching of development and application of combining with functional dye in the biological testing has been take more attention. Our laboratory has successfully done many studies of organic photochromic dyes Spiropyrans series that explore from nature. Currently, we focus on the application of photochromic dyes combination with L-tyrosine and intensive study on the combined with amino acids and photochromic dyes.
