碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 101 === This study explores the causes and effects of low birth rate on the Taichung City public elementary school, and discuss the management strategies in response to the low birth rate, and to provide some suggestions to these elementary schools., A total of 500 questionnaires were issued and got 463 valid questionnaires. The effective return rate is 93%. The results show that: 1. To investigate the sustainable stratgice in response to low birth rate, The item of highest score is "development of school characteristics ", the item of lowest score is " promote strategic alliances". 2.Male executives emphasis on "strengthen competitive advantage" than female executives ; And executives of higher rank emphasis on "performance management" than those of lower rank ; And executives of higher working years emphesis on “over -all school management” than those of lower working years. 3. There is non-significance of all strategies to the executives of different educational qualifications. This study showes that most educators got the master degree in Taiwan. 4.
