RM is in the capture layer of EPCglobal Architecture Framework. This standard defines what and how to capture statics and information for reader management. This paper presents an architecture based on the EPCglobal Reader Management specification to create a core of Reader Management system. According to EPCglobal Reader Management specification, we design the system to be a three-layer architecture: the reader object layer, the message format layer, and the protocol transport layer which utilizes Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). In addition to the three-layer system, there is a database to store all data defined by the system administrator. Those data can be used to analyze and gather relevant information for another module called alert module. An Alert module is the way to help the administrator to easily configure alert settings and ask the reader management system to perform data gathering and data analysis. Then, the collected data and analytical results are sent to notify the administrator and relevant users. With the functions of the alert module, the Reader Management system can have more user-friendly features to control and monitor readers. 黃秋煌 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 42 zh-TW
