| Summary: | 碩士 === 佛光大學 === 經濟學系 === 101 === The research is to measure the relative efficiency of the Taiwan sugar production. Input variables include Housing Area, Employment and Net Value of Fixed Assets. Output variable is Production Quantity. By using DEA to establish the efficiency of assessment models. With CCR model, researcher calculated individual sample’s total technical efficiency. By slack variable analysis, researcher explored the relative inefficiency of the State. With BCC model, the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of each sample was calculated, and the analysis of samples,to improve production efficiency.
Results show that the total efficiency of Taiwan sugar industry in 80 years to 90 years showed a positive growth ,95 years show a slight negative growth ,the reason for relaxing after Taiwan joined the WTO sugar import controls,vendors and employees increase , the long-term, the production efficiency of the sugar industry is still in the ascendant trend . In addition , teachnical efficiency and scale efficiency in 80 years to 95 years with no obvious change , but the returns to scale display of Taiwan sugar industry in period of transition , somoe manufacturers because of the scale of undue waste of resources.
Form the analysis of slack variables , found that the majority of manunfacturers on the input variable , such as land area and net value of fixed assets, excessive investment . The sensitivity analysis shoes the number of employees , the amount of the sugar industry , influence on very large , thus indicates that the variable has a strong sensitivity , the industry advantage.
