In order to improve the connected process between schools and workplaces that goes not well, and to increase student’s future employment competitiveness, Ministry of Education actively built Career and Competency Assessment Network (UCAN for short). Through the exploration of career and interest, they expect it to effectively assist students or normal social people to understand their own directions of career development, know the career well and understand the strength of competency; also, to strengthen the related career information and increase students’ understanding of workplace, and then, plan their own learning projects and develop their abilities to approach the demands of industries. For many students, it’s a grand new experience to contact this information platform. An important issue is that how to propagandize and promote to make students accept and continuously use the internet resource service well, and to make the UCAN platform be accepted generally and have its biggest effect. To understand the factors that promote students to accept this new technology, this study explored colleges and universities students’ acceptance of UCAN platform’s using, integrated Technology acceptance Model (TAM) and Assimilation Theory and analyzed the use intension and acceptance of UCAN platform’s using. The mainly chosen scale subjects of this study were north colleges and universities students, we used convenience sampling to collect quantitative data, and obtained valid questionnaires to analyze and compare whether Assimilation Theory could explain their acceptance better than TAM does, and also understand the important factors for consumers to accept the UCAN platform’s using. Through data collection and analysis, we found students’ learning orientation, use efficiency and normative commitment are the predisposing factors of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, and these would further impact the use intension. This study result could offer schools and Ministry of Education a base or a reference, help them to understand the key factors for students to accept UCAN platform and take them as a reference for improving policy promoting and propagandizing. This study result could help schools and Ministry of Education to understand the key factors for students to accept UCAN platform and take them as a reference for improving policy promoting and propagandizing. Finally, the study expects this founding could assist school to improve the usage rate of UCAN, help education units to plan a proper course direction and draw a right course planning direction up, assist students to understand workplace and promote their employment competitiveness.
