Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 化學系 === 101 === A series of polymer–graphene nanocomposite (PGN) materials consisting of organic poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and organo functionalized graphene oxide (FGO) were prepared successfully by the effective dispersion of the FGO nanolayers in the PMMA matrix through in situ emulsion polymerization and solution dispersion methods. The as-prepared PGN materials were subsequently characterized with FT-IR,wide-angle powder X-ray diffraction, Raman and transmission electron microscopy. Anticorrosion performance of PGN materials were studied by a series of electrochemical measurements and AC impedance spectroscopy in 3.5 wt% aqueous NaCl electrolyte. As a result, the PGN materials in the form of coatings on a steel coupon exhibited better corrosion protection than neat PMMA. This might attribute to the higher aspect ratio and better dispersion of the graphene platelets in the polymer matrix. We also report the results of thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry and dynamic mechanical analyzer for the as-prepared PGN materials. The effects in physical properties with different dispersion methods and incorporation ratios of FGO were compared.
