Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 統計資訊學系應用統計碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study, based on Andersen’s Behavioral Model of Health Services Use, is to explore the impacts between mental-physical conditions and health behaviors on medical emergency medical service utilization of Taiwan elderly people. Data of this study are from the 2005 National Health Interview Survey questionnaires (NHIS), out of the database of individuals over 65 years old. All data were analyzed via Frequency distribution of data, descriptive statistics, cluster analysis, correlation analysis, Chi-square Automatic Interaction Detection (CHAID) and Classification and Regression Trees (CART). The results are as followed:People who diagnosed with Kidney disease and couldn’t do heavy housework were associated with higher risks of emergency utilization events. Personal self-care ability was still considered the most important factor among elderly people of different backgrounds, and it also be regarded as the main factor of the potential risks with emergency utilization. Overall, almost twenty-percent geriatrics have emergency experiment, especially for men those live with people over seventy. The main reasons of those people are general disease and accidental injuries. Besides, the reason on men who lived alone is bleeding with trauma, but on women who lived alone is fainting.
