It can be evidenced that Buddhism is blended with Chinese traditional cultures, Confucianists and Tao, after a long time of argument. However, many academic records have shown that Tao attempted to keep its predominance by counterfeiting "Lao Tzu Hwa Hu scripture". After the scripture, Buddhism and Tao has a series of argument, which helped us to understand how Buddhism blended with Confucianists and Tao. In 1255 A.D, leader of Tao, Qiu Chuji, destroyed Buddhist sculptures and turned temples into Taoist abbeys. In addition, the leader also disseminated books like "Lao Tzu Hwa Hu scripture" to prove that Buddhism is just one of branches of Tao. This has leaded to intensive disputation between the two religions. Kublai Khan has therefore convened a debate over authenticity of the Taoist scripture, and the Buddhists has defeated the Taoist. As a result, the emperor has not merely burned out all Taoist scriptures (except Tao Te Ching) but also ordered monk Shian Mai in 1271 A.D to disprove forged Taoist arguments by writing "Bian Wei Ru", which covers 14 chapters. The book not only focuses on disproving Taoist, but also specified detailed cause of conflict between the Buddhist and the Taoist. Jun-wei Huang 黃俊威 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 97 zh-TW
