Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 東方人文思想研究所 === 101 === Abstract This research investigates the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes Jataka stories and Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes Jataka murals, which using different painting style to convey the Buddhist spiritual argumentation, on the other hand, added Humanistic ideas into Chinese culture. This research method is: First, the relevant cultural and historical and information of Buddhist studies research. Through the classical literature investigation and analysis, the purpose within the letter Jataka ideology and explore its inherited course or change through the relevant literature research. It analyzed the concept of Jataka connotation, one by one, mainly from the context of the Buddhist sutras study. Second, text analysis, explanation and interpretation, literature and art work witch can reflect the social environment and cultural ideas of the time being. The social background behind the literary and artistic works is closely related. Overviewed thoroughly, reading with the research methods from macro to micro of the text. Take the classic text analysis as longitude, comparison of social historical events, customs and culture with other texts and contrast as the weft, it woven into a rich link network. Reviewed the Jataka stories based on the development process point of view of Dunhuang, The development of Buddhist culture in Dunhuang has its significant value which cannot be ignored. Whether through Buddhist scriptures or artistic, literary analysis of the content, there are Buddhist thought hidden within. To explore the concepts of karma and reincarnation, from causal theory, life and death, the afterlife concept, Buddhism causal impact of ideas on folk beliefs and other aspects discussed one by one. The study found out as follow. A. Jataka stories manifest moral theory of causation, and based on origin saying, in addition to good and evil, the karma, also mixed with a sense of filial piety day retribution, III generation karma, Busch degree satisfactorily kot. B. According to the Buddhist perspective of life and death "Origination" discourse, whether it is "Tiger suicide" and "pigeon flesh trade" contains Dharma "bitter", "empty", "impermanence" and " Nirātman " conception of death and liberation, become a Buddha. C. The concepts of III Karma formed Buddhist causality afterlife perspective, in addition to karma and good and evil, also wish sustenance in the afterlife relief and achievement Buddhism. D. Chinese karma and III rebirth combined the essence of India Buddhism and traditional Chinese culture generated a new concept of reincarnation in Chinese Buddhism.
