Quasi-experimental research was designed; the elderly people were assigning into two groups. The exercise intervention group and the control group . Towel stretch exercise program for 12 weeks intervention, were designed three times a week, 120 minutes intensity exercise and social interaction related courses. With instrumental activities of daily living scale (IADL), elderly depressed mood (Short GDS-15) scale, and health benefits as a research tool for measuring log table. Data were analyzed by SPSS for Window 19.0 version, the results significantly showed exercise intervention group for 12 weeks of program. (一) The intervention group showed regular exercise behavior, (t = 3.54, P = 0.001)," control group” (t = 1.06, P = 0.29), The intervention group showed regular exercise behaviors. (二) Instrumental activities of daily living, the intervention group showed shopping and cooking behavior were improved. (t = 5.20, P <0.000), control group (t = 1.22, P = 0.23)(三) The health benefits of exercise in blood pressure – systolic intervention group showed decreased (t = 6.42, P = 0.001), control group (t = 4.42, P = 0.90), heart rate ,intervention group (t = 5.96, P <0.001), control group (t = 0.64, P = 0.29). The results of these data significantly showed that Towel stretch exercise program for promoting healthy was improved by regular exercise behavior, systolic blood pressure, heart rate. , In order to maintain an active healthy lifestyle, we would recommend the towel stretch exercise could apply to communities for the elderly sports and encourage the elderly to attach importance to physical and mental health. It needs to perform professional and dynamic motion, thus promoting physical health of the elderly, reducing chronic disease, improving the elderly physical and psychological health status and quality of life, and thus help the elderly successfully aging .
