Air was used as the working fluid and the test pressure was one atm. The heat source was provided by the electrical heater and the other side of cylinder was cooled by cooling water. The environment temperature was 301K for the experiment. The temperature of electrical heater was controlled between 934K and 853K to provide 550W of heat source. The temperature of hot side was set between 713K and 723K, while the temperature of cold side was between 299K and 301K.The effects of the density of displacer, diameter of regenerator, and diameter of power piston were investigated. The thermal efficiency, torque, and shaft power were tested by different combinations of the above factors. The results show that the maximum speedy is 774 rpm for the engine with 40mm power piston diameter,10mm regenerator diameter, and 0.101g⁄〖cm〗^3 displacer density. Among the combinations, the maximum torque and shaft power was provided by the engine with 10mm regenerator diameter, 0.407g⁄〖cm〗^3 displacer density, and 80mm power piston diameter.
