In addition, practical suggestions will be made as references when it is put into practice The experimental samples are the 8th grade students of Da-She Junior High School located in Kaohsiung County. The researcher applies different teaching methods- computer-assisted instruction method and traditional lecture-based learning to unit ” Climate and Hydrology” and “Population and People”. According to the data we collect from the experimental teaching, we will analyze the learning effects of the students and other related problems. Through the research, there are four conclusions from the results: 1. The researcher applies computer-assisted instruction method and that can develop the characteristics and functions of Microsoft Powerpoint. Teachers can develop their teaching ability through new ways of teaching methods and action research. 2. Information technology integrated instruction contributes a lot to the improvement in students’ overall learning. 3. Information technology integrated instruction contributes more to the improvement of the learning effects of female students than male students. 4. The experimental samples are the 8th grade students of Da-She Junior High School located in Kaohsiung County.
