Description
Summary:碩士 === 景文科技大學 === 觀光與餐旅管理研究所 === 101 === Since Taiwan has officially become the “Aging societies”, the aged population increased promptly in recent years. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between leisure activities and life satisfaction for the aged people in Taiwan. The sources of data are based on the “Survey of the Middle-Aged and the Elderly in Taiwan Area” in 2005 with the Ministry of Interior, stratified random sampling is collected 2,581. Our results indicate that eight independent variables affect the life satisfaction of the elder such as age, education background, economic income, mental health, physical health, religious participation, health activity participation and attendance of recreational activities. Among those above variables, the mental health is the largest proportion, followed by economic income, and then by attendance of recreational activities. Taiwan's population of baby boomers comes rapidly come into the “Third Age”of Life Cycle. Those baby boomers have higher degrees of education background, and have ever participated in the development of “Taiwan Miracle”. Some of them have rich savings. Hence, I highly suggest that we should make full and good uses of these resources as possible as we can. These elderly people not only have the opportunities to present their own experience, wealth and wisdom to expand or to innovate the demand industries for the elderly people, but also increase employment opportunities for the young people due to the altruism. I sincerely believe that in the long-term dimension those outcomes meet the demands of collaborative and diverse benefits.
