Methods adopted in this study were conducted through literature review and questionnaire survey.“The Questionnaire on the Locus of Control, Self-efficacy and Emotional Labor Coping Strategies for Primary School Homeroom Teachers in Tainan City”was designed for data collection. Subjects were homeroom teachers chosen from 32 elementary schools in Tainan City. The study sample is through convenience sampling. 410 surveys had been sent out, only 367 valid samples (89.51% valid rate). The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS by using the methods of descriptive statistics, Pearson's product-moment correlation, and Path analysis. The conclusions are as follows: 1.Most homeroom teachers tend to work with their internal control traits. Internal control plays a significant and positive role, directly affecting their personal teacher efficacy and their emotional labor coping strategies. 2.Most of the homeroom teachers work with high personal teacher efficacy, which significant positive affects their emotional labor coping strategies. 3.The ranking for teachers’ possible application of emotional labor strategies goes from the emotional labor norms on the top, followed by true feelings, surface acting, and then emotional labor diversity. 4.Teachers' personal teacher efficacy plays as a partly intermediary for internal control traits and emotional labor coping strategies. According to the results and conclusions of this study, some suggestions were offered as references for educational administrative institutions, school administration, elementary school teachers, and further study in the future.
