Innovation will meet the dynamic needs of all customers and reduce the cost of enterprise as well. Purpose of this research is using TRIZ theory and its tools to analyze systematically the problems of IC design. Then, breakthrough is found out to solve the problems in order to face the very keen competition market in the future. A method of this research focuses on using in-depth interview to find out the correlated information with the problem, and then using the TRIZ theory and formulating a problem to find a really effective solution. Finally achieving the best results is the ultimate aim to solve the problem. Main contribution of this research is to help the case company improve the problem of IC design about Bump shift and to identify the contradiction of problem by using TRIZ theory and methods. According to the thirteen solutions of analysis, the final solution is to adjust the position of the bump. The improvement ratios are between 34% ~ 152%. Moreover, the majority of them are more than 60%. Improving the original design not only improve the quality, reduce costs and satisfy all customers but also provide the company new thinking tools and directions in the future.
