Therefore, the study and analysis of the factors that attract foreign investment in a local or a region will help understanding the behavior and objectives of foreign investors on the basis that the local can exploit the potential advantages, as well as propose effective policies to attract investment in time and effectively. The aim of this project is to find out the most important factors effecting the choosing investment location of Taiwan investors in Vietnam and suggest the strategies to attract Taiwan‟s FDI capital into Hai Duong province in the coming years. In this paper, with a study on literature review and the conducting of interviews with Taiwan investors, eight selected factors classified into four main groups have been mentioned. 85 questionnaires have been responded and many comment from Taiwan companies in Vietnam. The data are analyzed by using SPSS reliability analysis, regressions analysis. The results show that technical infrastructure is regarded as the most important factor for Taiwan investors that influence the selection of investment locations in Vietnam. Other factors such as the policy, cost advantage, potential market, human resource and natural resource are also the decisive factors that influence the selection of investment locations in Vietnam. Whereas, Geographical location and Social infrastructure are considered is less important factors. The findings provide useful implications for Hai Duong province with the goal in terms of investors‟ satisfaction. This thesis has suggested some solutions for Hai Duong province of enhancing the Taiwan investors‟ satisfaction and meeting the Taiwan investors‟ expectations.
