This impact can be found by observing many environmental phenomenons, such as global warming, the fracture of Antarctic ice,& the deterioration of ecological resources. In order to reach the goal of sustainable development, global IT industry should be responsible for protecting the earth. In view of this goal, this research will primarily focus on discussing the green operation mode of IT industry in Northern Taiwan. In addition, the study will look into the influence of market orientation & financial performances to support the research. The use of qualitative research methods will be converged & grouped into propositions. Large-scale IT companies in Northern Taiwan will be chosen to be the main cases, while the interviewees are those department managers or other high administrative position that are in control. The research outline sorts out three main aspects, as follows: Green management can facilitate sustainable development; Green product can contribute to better financial performance and adaption to environmental changes so as to survive. We can conclude from the research that for the purpose of sustainable development & survival of human beings, people should reconsider the importance & the urgency of environmental protection. While IT industries are operating in Green mode, they can also take into account the pursuit of financial performance. This conclusion is expected to provide IT industry with another aspect of setting strategies; moreover the study hopesto provide scholars & experts valuable recommendations.
