Summary:碩士 === 康寧大學 === 休閒管理研究所 === 101 === This study investigated the effects of leisure participation and leisure benefits on pre-competition anxiety among Athlete in 2012 MediaTek Football League in Taiwan. Survey method was adopted and a questionnaire was used to collect data. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis, t test, one way ANOVA, and simple regression analysis via SPSS. The results show partial significant differences between leisure participation, leisure benefits and pre-competition anxiety in terms of age and years of training experience. The participation of Entertainment leisure activities and cultural activities leisure differs significantly by the athletes’ leisure participation. The participation of Mass media balanced life experience and healthy philosophy of life leisure benefits differs significantly by the athletes’ leisure benefits. In addition, the results indicate a significant difference between leisure activity participation and pre-competition anxiety. Entertainment leisure activities have positive effects while cultural leisure activities have negative effects on the participants’ pre-competition anxiety. In a summary, a high level of participation in entertainment leisure activities results in a decrease of pre-competition anxiety among athlete identification. Based on the findings, recommendations were made towards improving and planning leisure activity for school administrators, coaches and athletes in easing the impact of pre-competition anxiety and improve athletic performance.
