Because of the intimate attachment between pet owners and pets, pet owners may want to bury their pets as their relatives when facing the death of pets. The purpose of research is exploring consumer''s attitude toward pet funeral products, including the current situation of pet funeral marketing, development of pet funeral products, how would the owner deal with and the attitude when facing the death of the pet, the intention of purchasing the pet funeral products and preference. When conducting this study a questionnaire was presented to 192 pet owners, and after a series of careful data analyses, 179 of which were identified as reliable.The overall respond rate is 93%. The results shows: When choosing pet urns, appearance and possibly matching other home decoration would be considering for pet owners. Owners who prefer traditional appearance are likely to present in a formal way to remembered their pets, for others who prefer animal or animal related appearance are likely to be reminded by seeing the pet urns. When choosing material for urns, humid-resist material will be the top choice. Because of the high quality texture looking, Urns made by porcelain, wooden, or marble materials are highly popular. When choosing pet cremation jewelry, pet owners consider both of the appearance and practicality, and cremation necklaces are the most popular. The conclusions shows below: Most of pet owners believe that buying pet funeral products is for their own need, and when dealing with the pet funeral affairs, they would like to hire pet mortician. But about the information of pet funeral products, most of them are only familiar with pet urns and pet columbarium. The result shows the need of pet funeral products from pet owners, but the information was given is weak. Pet owners who join pet-related groups tend to be more interested in both of pet urns and pet cremation jewelry.Owners are recommend to join pet-related groups to spread out the pet funeral products information, and clearly knowing the current pet funeral products available on the market, and to bring the pet funeral product industries on demand.
