| Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 應用統計資訊學系碩士班 === 101 === Taiwan’s government allows the foreign companies to set up branches in Taiwan. The insurance industries become liberalization and internationalization when Taiwan joins WTO. The foreign insurance industries become more convenient and effective to get into Taiwanese market. Therefore, the insurance market have presented saturated state and caused competitive situation. This study adopt 29 life insurance companies to do research object (24 domestic companies and 5 foreign companies’ Taiwan branch), and choose 18 financial ratio variables for researching. Through insurance companies’ indicators of financial structure, profitability indicators, solvency indicators and operating capacity indicators access the operating performance. We combine the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Entropy to decide the weights. At last, apply the Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) to analyze 29 life insurance companies’ operating rank. In addition, we could get the difference between the local companies and foreign companies operating performance in Taiwan. Finally, we use the rank to get whether the operating performance related to market share.
