Summary: | 碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 管理研究所 === 101 === The aim of knowledge management is to help an organization manage the dynamic challenges and changes from outside environment. To implement knowledge management, an organization has to encourage self-study and internal communication. That explains the correlation between organizational learning and knowledge management. In this thesis, I made a case study on Y company and investigate Y company’s knowledge management system from organizational learning’s perspective.
Qualitative research method was adopted in this study. The study started by analyzing papers and reports of knowledge management and organizational learning. I then study Y company’s culture of knowledge sharing and learning method by doing questionnaires and interviews with Y company’s employees. The result shows that Y company is a conservative organization. Their employees don’t have neither incentive nor motivation to implement knowledge management. The various trainings offered to employees of Y company are not well integrated. Besides, Y company doesn’t have quality IT infrastructure to support their knowledge management. It shows that culture, attitude, leadership of management level and the adoption of IT technology are key factors for the implementation of knowledge management.
To improve Y company’s knowledge management, this thesis proposes Y company to use the dialogue tool of “The World Café” to enhance their organizational learning. I hope the process developed in this thesis can help Y company build a better and solid knowledge management system
