Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工業與資訊管理學系專班 === 101 === Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) has been shown to be an important manufacturing and managerial methodology to enhance the competitiveness and performance of enterprises during four decades. The performance of TPM practices in terms of production, quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale are significantly effective. According to different patterns of enterprises, managers may emphasize on different performance indicators. This paper adopts the perspective of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to examine whether TPM practices can meet managers’ demands. This paper compiles commonly used performance indicators of Balanced Scorecard and applies Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to evaluate weight values of four perspectives and items of input. Further, the weights of inputs are used in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach for evaluating efficiency and finally compare efficiency in two companies of implementing TPM practices for 8 years, in order to understand whether TPM practices can comprehensively improve performance. As a result, the performance of TPM practices shows improving trends in efficiency and also meets managers’ demands effectively. Moreover, TPM methodology can also be used as a practical tool for enterprises to enhance their performance under long-term and sustained implementation.
