Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 交通管理學系碩博士班 === 101 === The objective of this study is to evaluate the current challenges of container terminal operation models in Port of Kaohsiung and seeks assess criteria of the operational models. An Analytic Hierarchy Process analysis technique is employed to identify critical operations related dimensions and criteria for different stage (i.e. short to mid-term, and long term). Data are collected from senior managers and experts in shipping industry to select the optimal model. Results revealed that four operation dimensions identified based on 13 criteria named “cost”, “ownership and concession”, “environment” and “operational capability”. In addition, the research findings indicated “operational capability” perceived as the most important operation dimension in the short and mid-term while the appropriate selection of operation management model is “joint venture joint venture and outsourcing”. Results also indicated “operational capability” as the most important operation dimension in the long-term whereas the appropriate selection of operation management model is “wholly-owned and own operations”.
