Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 管理學院工業工程與管理學程 === 101 === Duration of computer mouse use was related to musculoskeletal disorders of arm, elbow, and hand. The two major factors that contributing to mouse-related musculoskeletal disorders of upper limbs was prolonged force applied to the computer mouse and sustained non-neutral postures. Medical clinics often suggest that immobilization using orthoses to promote rest and improve pain. However, computer mouse users who wearing wrist orthoses always feel discomfort to perform computer tasks. They cannot grasp and hold muse easily and cutaneous sensation of volar wrist was absent. The purpose in this study was(1)finding the appropriate mouse design characteristics when wearing wrist orthoses, and (2)finding the appropriate wrist orthoses design characteristics when performing computer mouse task. 2x3 (mouse x wrist orthoses) repeated measured experiments was design to find the appropriate mouse and wrist orthoses design characteristics. The results indicated that task performance was significant interaction between mouse and wrist orthoses. The task performance in dorsal wrist orhtoses was better than volar one when performing computer tmouse ask. In the discussion, the researcher suggest dorsal wrist orhtoses if subject want to performing computer mouse task.
