The morphology of the polymer composite films was studied by using the polarized optical microscope and the scanning electron microscope. A variety of morphologies ranging from macro-phase separation, polymer-dispersed LC droplets, single-phase nematic spherulites, isolated spherulites, to amorphous structure was observed depending upon the polymer concentration in LC-polymer composite films and irradiation temperature. The voltage-dependent transmittance, phase retardation, and hysteresis effect of LC-polymer composite films were also measured in this work. The electro-optical properties of LC-polymer composite films were strongly depending on the morphologies. Jeng, Shie-Chang 鄭協昌 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 65 zh-TW
