Besides, the circumstance results in dramatic competition of the whole world and also changes the demands of consumption and consciousness of customer gradually. Types of Traditional retailer have been influenced by this trend. Therefore, companies tend to take advantage of distribution center to allocate the commodities in that it’s beneficial for them. Obviously, distribution center play an indispensable role in industries. The majority of scholars point out picking which occupy around 50 percent of all cost, so how to organize picking efficiently and how to curtail time and cost of picking are essential to distribution center. In this study, we propose a new synchronized sequential zone-picking system that has routing flexibility. Eight order selection rules and nine dispatching rules are proposed in the new system and we study their performance through simulation experiments. In addition, we will study whether the performance of the new system is better than those synchronized sequential zone-picking systems without routing flexibility.Based on simulation and analysis, we can witness that those order selection rules with regard to penalty are superior to the others and remaining picking time is the best dispatching rule of all.
