To fulfill and partly exceed the IMT-Advanced requirements, 3GPP release LTE-Advanced. In order to meet these requirements, a variety of techniques are used. Carrier aggregation is one of the main techniques introduced in LTE-Advanced. In this paper, we have developed an algorithm of resource allocation dealing with carrier aggregation in the LTE-Advanced system. LTE-A system is backward compatible with LTE system, which means SC-FDMA technology is continue used in LTE-Advanced uplink. In order to speedup bit rates in uplink transmission, the system should allocate continuous spectrum to one UE. So far, there has been some research about resource allocation in LTE uplink. However, most people only take channel conditions into consideration in resource allocation when designing these algorithms. In our proposed method, we have designed an algorithm considering not only the channel condition but bandwidth required by UE and priority in different type of QoS.
