Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 101 === With the concern about WorldSkills competition and vocational students, five international competition participants were interviewed to share their learning process, competition participation and career development experience.
By using phenomenology and hermeneutics of qualitative research and through depth interview, the researcher tried to analyze factors affecting career development. The results are as following.
1.Factors affecting contestants’ career development are : gender roles, self-concepts, family socioeconomic status, family relations, school learning experience, role models, social environment , occupational environment and significant incidents.
2.Contestants’ perception of vocational education learning career should be practical-oriented in order to meet the requirement of corporate world.
3.Improving guidance and counseling mechanism could not only understand the present of contestants’ career development but also solve the problem of technical personnel shortage in Taiwan.
Based on the results and discussions of this research, some constructive suggestions are offered for vocational students, vocational educational systems, the authorities, and future researches.
