A survey research was conducted in this study. Subjects were 358 parents who have children with intellectual disability from thirty-four junior high schools. A questionnaire was developed by researcher and data were analyzed through frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one way analysis of variance. The major findings were as follows: 1.Most of parents had positive opinions of self-determination for their children with intellectual disability. The influential factors include bith order, social-economic status, family supports, family structure to parents’ opinions have significantly different leves. 2.Most of parents had negative practices of self-determination for their children with intellectual disability. The influential factors included gender, social-economic status to parents’ practices have significantly different leves. 3.Most parents had significantly different leves of the opinions and practices of self-determination for their children with intellectual disability.
