Although UNIX operating systems feature in many benefits that attract EDA vendors to continually provide their products on UNIX operating systems, but people usually use Microsoft Windows family as their working environment these days. This would cause a very inconvenient situation because people could not use these powerful EDA tools in their familiar working environment. A painful period for adapting different operating system may be necessary, which would increase extra cost in time for learning and using EDA tools. Since software compiled into binary files is incompatible for different operating systems, this study attempts to discover the compatibility from the source code of software, or the portability of standardized, high-level programming languages. In order to verify the thesis of the study, an EDA tool developed on UNIX operating system for drawing schematic diagrams of electrical circuits named XCircuit would be practically put into the implementation of this study. 林志明 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 88 en_US |
