In this research, we therefore propose a model to evaluate travel recommender systems that execute on personal mobile devices to provide on-tour recommendations of tourist attractions. We also developed measurement scales for the dimensions of the proposed model in this research. A user study is then conducted in Lukang town. The results reveal that, comparing with mass recommendation, personal recommendation provides users useful information and thus users have higher satisfaction level. Also, information quality and system quality are both positively related to user satisfaction. User involvement and motivation also have significant influences on user satisfaction.
