Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 電機工程學系 === 101 === High Speed Machining (HSM) technology is a machining method which provided high spindle revolution, high axes feed rate and low cutting depth in order to reach the highest removal rate, precise accuracy and high surface appearance quality. In the study, the material of aluminum is applied in the cutting experiment of traditional vertical machining center and high speed machining center to compare the processing time and surface precision of work pieces. The experiment result shows that the processing time of high speed cutting is about 48.23% faster than traditional vertical machining center. The average removal rate increases about 44.53% and the surface roughness of work pieces improved for about 29.01%. In comparing with the traditional machining center, the high speed machining center produces a better quality with faster processing time. Therefore, the experiment proves machining with high speeds (HSM) is one of the modern technologies, which in comparison with traditional cutting method which enables the improvement of efficiency, accuracy and quality of work pieces.
