The output current of standard USB port is limited to 500 mA, but the capacity of handheld device battery has more than 10000 mAh now, when charging the handheld device battery through the standard USB port, it will take a long time. According to the fact, the USB Implementers Forum sets up a new USB charging specification. This thesis brought out a method of battery charging control into mother board to improve charging performance of PC USB ports. The main architecture includes dual power switching circuit, USB charging control circuit and charging circuit by bias voltage.
