Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 光電科技研究所 === 101 === This thesis investigates the focusing performance of the liquid crystal lens (LC lens) with hole-patterned electrode. The liquid crystal director simulation, numerical calculation of the effective refractive index change and ray tracing analysis are used in this thesis. The obtained results indicate the focal length of the LC lens is varied with the applied voltage. When the applied voltage is ~100 V, the LC lens has the optimized focusing performance and image quality. The focusing performance of the LC lens with obliquely incident light is different from that of the LC lens with normally incident light. When the incident angle is under 30∘, the focal length of the LC lens at various incident angle is behaved as an elliptical function. When the incident angle is larger than 30∘, the LC lens lost the its focusing ability.
