The subjects were 32 forth-grade students in 2 classes selected from an elementary school in Yunlin City. 16 students in one class were assigned to the experimental group, and 16 students in another class were assigned to the control group. The experimental group, was received the teaching model of " teacher playing piano" ; the control group was received " a general " teaching model. Subjects received 3-week music appreciation classes, twice a week, every class is 40 minutes long. For analyzing the teaching effect, reaserch the collaborative researcher gathered data such as the notes of classroom observation, interviews and “Music Learning Test” before and after teaching. The results of this study are as followed: 1.The teaching model of " teacher playing piano" can enhance the learning effect of musical elements. 2. The teaching model of " teacher playing piano" let the teacher have more teaching flexibility. 3. The teaching model of " teacher playing piano" is the students’ favorites.
