The researcher compared gender,grade and social economic status differences in junior high school students by the family values, parent-child relationship and life adjustment. In addition,the author also investigated the relationship between family values and life adjustment,the relationship between parent-child relationship and life adjustment, and the prediction among family values, parent-child relationship and life adjustment. Through random sampling, 608 participants of the 7th, 8th, 9th grade of junior high schools from 7 junior high schools were recruited in Chiayi County and City in 2013. To collect data pertaining to the research variables, several normalized inventories were used, ”Scale of Family Values”, ” Scale of Parent-child Relationship”and” Scale of Life Adjustment”. Data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation and Multiple Stepwise Regression. Results revealed as following: 1. The family values, parent-child relationship and life adjustment of junior high school students were above average. 2. Male students have better status in male elders aspect of family values than that of the female. 3. Grade 7th have better status in family functioning, filial piety aspect of family values than that of grade 9th. 4. Grade 7th have better status in attachment aspect of parent-child relationship than that of grade 8th and grade 9th. 5. Grade 7th have better status in family life aspect of life adjustment than that of grade 9th. 6. The high social-and-economical status students are greater than the middle and the low in personal physical and mental aspect of life adjustment. 7. The relationship among family values, parent-child relationship and life adjustment is significant. 8. The family values and parent-child relationship of junior high school students predicted life adjustment with good accuracy,which accounted for 53.2% of variances. Finally, according to the findings, the researcher put forth suggestions to be referred to in studies and applied in educational counseling in the future.
