Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 輔導與諮商學系研究所 === 101 === There are many legends that highlight the relationship between careers and dreams in Chinese history, and there may be a connection between work stress and dreams for Chinese people. The aims of this study are thus to construct the questionnaire, to investigate various aspects of dreaming, such as dream behavior, attitudes after dreaming, perceptions of work stress, and reactions to work stress with the proposed questionnaires, and to examine the reliability and the validity of the scales by using SEM. The reliability of the dream scale is 0.90 and the reliability of the work stress scale is 0.88. This study explores the relation between work stress and dreams with the aim of a questionnaire survey, and examines the results using ANOVA, Cluster Analysis, and Canonical Correlation analysis. The results show that there are some significant differences in the degrees of dream and work stress with different characteristics such as family situation, age, education, religion, and occupation of people. The subjects can be clustered to two clusters, the active and the inactive people, with the degree of work stress and dreaming phenomenon. The canonical correlation coefficient between dreams and work stress for all subjects is 0.80. The correlation between work stress and dream is significant with the Canonical Correlation Model. It is anticipated that the results of this study can help show how Chinese people release their work stress in conscious and unconscious ways, and thus will be helpful for managing the Chinese employees in an organization, consulting clients from work stress, and planning the Employee Assistance Programs.
