碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 體育與健康休閒研究所 === 101 === A study for substitutions during crunch time by high school basketball coaches Chia-Yuan Chen Department of Physical Education, Health and Recreation National Chiayi University Abstract The leadership patterns were certainly different in player’s practice, attitude, characteristic, and situation during games by different coaches, so the curial factors to victory were to accurately analyze both teams’ tactics, and to interpret opponents’ statistics and players’ situation. This study was purposed to investigate the variables which effect coach’s substitution during crunch time. By purposive sampling, this study surveyed fifty central and southern Taiwanese high school basketball coaches (100% validated rate). The questionnaire was validated by experts, and whose reliability was .8427. Data was analyzed by SPSS12.0 software package for statistical analysis, used frequency distribution and chi-square analysis, and the level of significance sat at α = .05. The results showed that the player’s concentration, injuries, rebounds inside the zone, the precision of tactics execution, and gender of the coach would lead to many differences, such as the correlation between player’s emotion control, individualism, and team rotation with the rebounds inside the zone; and concentration, individualism, team rotation, reflection in defense, and the rebounds inside the zone with the coach’s seniority. Therefore furtherer research could add player's statistics to assist coaches to make more accurate judgments and proper substitution during the crunch time.
