The process of creation in itself helps artists explore and interpret their living experiences. The study is based on the creation inspired by the researcher’s daily experience and reflection. By theoretically examining some artworks, this research attempts to build a creation theory which not only reflects the interaction between creation and living experiences in different phases, but attributes to shed some light on individual future development. The objectives of the study are as follows: First, identify researcher’s creation methods by reviewing relevant realism theories. Second, explore the meanings of artworks with esthetics and symbolism. Third, develop a creation schema by reviewing some still life paintings from relevant artists. The content of this study is divided in five chapters. In Chapter One, the motivations, objectives, implications, and limitations of the study are specified. The research methodology adopted includes theory synthesis and action research. In Chapter Two, the evolution of still life paintings in realism is reviewed and analyzed. The researcher also depicts the influences on his creation from esthetic symbolism as well as realism masters. Chapter Three is the investigation of creation ideas, including the formats and the skills. In Chapter Four, the researcher explains the meanings, formats and techniques involved in his artwork series. Chapter Five summarizes the results and implications of the study, especially in regard to future development in the field. For the researcher, the creation is the process of self-dialogue, and is the medium that communicate with audience through the works. Except for the insistence of realistic form, the overtones and hints of works, are the topics and direction that researcher still work for. 張家瑀 學位論文 ; thesis zh-TW |
